Navayugam is the story about the law and justice which is currently prevailing in India. Suryam (Vinod Kumar) and Satyam (Rajendra Prasad) are brothers. Suryam had left his house long back and joined a group which strives for the poor people against the cruel politicians. Satyam is a lawyer and also an actor. While acting on stage he meets Sumathi (Meena) and falls in love with her. After completing his studies, Satyam takes up practice with Raidu (Narra Venkateshwar Rao) who teaches him to follow unjustice and earn money but Satyam rejects his idea and decides to be faithful to law and justice. But this decision had made Satyam face many problems. Satyam had to come face to face with Gurudev (T.Krishna) who is a renowed dacoit. To support Satyam, Sumati also starts a revolution against Gurudev for which she was badly insulted by him. To save her life Satyam marries Sumathi and had filed a case against Gurudev for killing Suryam. But Gurudev had left no choice for Satyam than to withdraw the case. Willl Satyam succeed in opposing the cruel powerful people of the city and what all problems does he need to face, forms the rest of the story.
