Surendra (Gopichand), a Sub-Inspector of Police, falls in love with a beautiful girl Archana (Gowri Pandit) who comes to his father (K Vishwanath) to learn music. But things led her to believe that Surendra is a thief and he is the one who stole her diamond necklace. Expectedly, they fell in love once the misunderstandings disappear. As they are about to engaged, Archana's father (Pawan Malhotra) gets call from his estranged sister and her husband who are in Bihar that they want to reestablish the ties with the family. For the sake of her family, Archana sacrifices her love and goes with her family to Bihar. Her parents marry her off to her menabava (Salim Panda) but her heart still beats for Surendra. The rest of the film is how Surendra rescues her from the shackles of her menacing and ruthless uncle Rana Pratap Singh (Shayaji Shinde).
