The film begins with Jayanthi (Jayasudha) gives birth to baby boy Chinna (Master Prabhu) in jail. Since Jayanti is a life imprisonment prisoner, she keeps sentry Shantamma (Nirmalamma) as her son's guardian. Papa Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao) maternal uncle to Jayanthi and his Hari (Srihari) always harasses Jayanti for her property. Krishna (Jagapathi Babu) a chronic bachelor, who hates women because his elder brother Krishna Mohan Rao (Raja) is killed by his lover. Radha (Soundarya) a young and beautiful girl falls in love with Krishna, but he rejects her love because of his hatred on women. After some time, Krishna also understands her love when Radha tries to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Chinna grows up 10-year old boy and Shantamma is getting old day-by-day Jayanti decides to hand over Chinna's responsibility to Krishna.
