Drishyam Movie Review

News - Drishyam Movie Review Venkatesh’s latest venture drishyam came out to hit the screens like a pleasant breeze without much hype. But does it take the boxoffice like a storm, like the Malayalam original? Let us have a look.  Story :  A middle aged illiterate father, Rambabu(venkatesh) obsessed with movies is a cable operator in a small village. Situations force him to safeguard his family as they find themselves in unusually complex turmoil. The rest of the story is all about how rambabu uses his filmi knowledge to rescue his family. Performances: Venkatesh has given up on the usual mass- masala formula stories and has been experimenting a lot these days. Finally he struck gold with drishyam as he carries the role effortlessly on his shoulders. It is not exaggeration if one would say no one could have carried the role in a better way in TFI. The fact that kamal Hassan himself liked venky’s performance tells a lot. Meena was adequate and suited the role well. Nadiya has been raking the moolah in her second innings and she was decent again. Others are decent. Technical values : Dialogues by darling swamy remain close to the original. Music was strictly passable. Editing was decent. Cinematography stands out from the rest. It‘s really tough say much about the director sai priya. The entire movie looks like a photocopy of the original. Final verdict : Battle of wits. Must watch Drishyam Movie Review
