Pencil (2016)Shiva(G V Prakash) is a brilliant 12th standard student who is secretly in love with his class mate Maaya(Sri Divya). As time passes by, a star hero’s son, Nithin(Shariq Hassan) joins the school and becomes a huge head ache for all the girls in the school and also to the teachers who manage him.
His notorious activities get to a point where everyone starts hating him big time. Twist in the tale arises when Nithin suddenly gets murdered in the school premises and both Shiva and Sri Divya stumble upon his dead body.
Left with no choice, they decide to go behind the motive of this murder. Rest of the story is as to how do they investigate the mystery and find out who the actual murderer is..

the movie travels in a good pace...especially at 2'nd half.there r 3 songs in the movie which places at the correct situation and it finishes in first half.so 2'nd half is very speed.the director has done a good job.his effort can be watched in this movie...g.v.acting is awesome and Sri divya acting is perfect.a strong message against school is portrayed in the climax which makes us to appreciate the movie.overall a must watchable movie in this year...don't miss it.

One of the best thrillers I've watched in a long time. The movie had me on the edge of my seat! I particularly enjoyed the subtle comedy thrown in. The musical score isn't too bad either. Highly recommend this movie! Based on a Japanese movie called 4th period mystery.

Pencil, is a decent crime thriller, but no breathtaking visuals or anything grand.
It is a low budget movie made to cater to the A centers with an intelligent script. The story actually resembles that of a Korean thriller.
It could have been made better, but you may watch it for its novel story.
