Vijay Chander, the main force behind the film, dons the role of Shirdi Sai Baba whose divine help is sought by the young lovers (Akash and Shamita Shetty). If one wonder how Baba can figure in a love story, Vijay Chander enlightens by saying, "Baba himself is love personified. So, why cannot he be there?" Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam plays a devoted and lovable principal while Akash, Shamita and Sunil are the students of the college. Sunil has a wonderful role, he makes you laugh, at the same time touches your heart with his dialogues, informs Vijay Chander. Shilpa Shetty's younger sister Shamita Shetty (of Mohabbatein fame) makes her debut in Telugu films with Piliste Palukutha. Chandra Mohan has an equally important role as a beggar and is connected with the love story between the hero and heroine. Baba appears only to him in the film and not to the other characters.
