Bharani is a family drama with action elements. Bharani (Vishal) is angry young man. His friends fondly call him Cheddodu because he can easily fight with anyone. Moreover he can't tolerate if anyone comments on his uncle Srinivasa Bhoopathy (Prabhu). Bhoopathy's wife Shankuntala Devi (Nadia) doesn't digest Bhoopathy taking care of his widowed sister (Rohini) and her son Bharani.
