Prasad (Jagayya) and Raghu (Krishna) are brothers. Raghu is a playboy while Prasad is elder brother and takes care of his brother and property. After the death of their mother, to make Raghu responsible Prasad encourages Raghu to start the Drama troup. Majula (Vijayalalitha) a dancer in the troup falls in love with Raghu. Samta (Kanchana) an orphan along with her brother joins in the troup. Prasad likes her, but Raghu and Samtha falls in love. Prasad sacrifices his love and get Raghu and Samta married. Manjula feels cheated and with the help of Bhujangam (Rajanala) creates a suspension in the mind of Raghu about his brother and his wife. Raghu leaves the house. How every thing sorts out in the end is the rest of the engrossing story.
