ab tak chhappan 2 (2015)

The film starts off with Saadhu Agashe (Nana Patekar) in a confession room, wherein, he explains (in his inimitable style) the basic difference between reality, clarity and perception to ex Police Commissioner Pradhan (Mohan Agashe), while the police personnels are recording this conversation in control room. The confession session is immediately followed by a flashback, which establishes the whole story till the present. A calm and collected Saadhu, who, after having left his dreaded past behind him, lives a peaceful life with his only son in a village in Goa. He derives immense pleasure in fishing, cooking, playing marbles with the village children and also spending time with himself on the boat in the middle of the waters. Meanwhile in Mumbai, when the dreaded underworld raises its ugly head again, in order to eradicate the same, Home Minister Janardhan Jagirdar (Vikram Gokhale) and his top level 'management' decides to call back Saadhu and reinstate him back in the police force. Even though Jagirdar assures that he will 'manage' all the charges which were leveled against him, a firm Saadhu sticks to his guns and refuses the offer because of the step motherly treatment that was meted to him while he was in the force. It takes Saadhu his son to convince him to get reinstated in the police force. The very moment he joins back the force, Saadhu comes back to his original form and gets working on the job by activating his ever trusted informers, reliable sources and likes. No sooner he gets back to his job, he starts getting congratulatory messages from everyone, including the wheelchair ridden underworld don Rawale (Raj Zutshi). Amidst all this enters a crime reporter Shalu (Gul Panag), who, while seeking Saadhu's help to finish her late father's incomplete book on crime, later, goes onto become one of his close associates. In the meanwhile, Saadhu's son gets killed by shooters, thus, leaving Saadhu totally shattered and devastated. With the help of Shalu, Saadhu discovers a shocking truth, which forces him to do one more 'encounter' and that too... in full frontal view of the public! Who were the killers of Saadhu's innocent son and what was their motive, what shocking truth does Saadhu discover is what forms the rest of the story.
