The movie is the story of two insomniac people, Aliya (Alia Bhatt), who belongs to a rich business family and Jagjinder Joginder (Shahid Kapoor). The two meet at a destination wedding, where Aliya’s sister is getting married to a boy of another rich business family in Europe.
Jagjinder is a wedding planner. Amidst the much chaotic wedding, Aliya and Jagjinder’s love story blossoms at the darkest hour. The two fall for each other. However, it is Aliya’s father Bipin (Pankaj Kapur), who wants his daughter to get married to a boy of their status.
