On the way to procure a job, the hero's (Sriram) bag and certificates are stolen in the train. But he has a look about him that endears him to a petty shop owner (V.M.C. Haneefa), who provides him accommodation along with a few bachelors (Vayyapuri, Shyam Ganesh and Sukran) in the top portion of his house. The heroine (Trisha) stays opposite this house and the bachelors are crazy about her. They are scared if the handsome and generous hero will try to woo her and so they hatch a plot and frame him in the wrong side. The heroine's two brothers beat him up black and blue. Three strangers, who claim to be his true friends from Hyderabad save an unconscious hero. After boring flashback scenes, the running story begins. The hero's real identity and his innocence are established -- that will satisfy both the heroine and her brothers. A twist here -- The heroine is suffering from brain disease and will die soon! Our hero gets closer to the heroine and makes her till the end.
