Chalapathi and Sekharam are good friends. Sekharam invests a lot of money in Chalapathi's business to help him start a business. Chalapthi, being alcoholic dies suddenly. Chalapathi's relatives takes advantage of his death and throws Sekharam in financial crisis. Due to which Sekharam looses everything and had to leave his home. Chalapathi's son Raja (Akkineni Nageshwar Rao) becomes the lelgal hire of all the property. But his aunt and uncle Surya Kantham and Ramana Reddy along with their manager Ravikondal Rao, who holds are the legal care takers of the property until Raja attains his majority, tries to achieve ownership of the same. Surya Kantham forcefully drags Raja into alcoholic clubs and he also gets involved in a bad company. Taking advantage of Raja's unconsiousness Surya Kantham starts controlling the property and earns lakhs of money. After many years, Sekharam and his daughter Radha (Jamuna) comes back to their native village to meet Raja. Radha has always believed Raja to be her husband. But when she sees him in as an alcoholic she can't bear it and tries to bring him back into his senses. Raja also quits drinking and understands how his uncle aunt along with the manager are looting the poor workers of their factory. How did Raja eradicate all this injustice happening to his workers and how did he teach a lesson to his uncle and aunt forms the rest of the story.
