Varun and Dipti Batra are an affluent Mumbai couple who are having issues in conceiving a baby. Dipti (Kareena Kapoor Khan) who is slightly past her prime fertility years is desperate to start a family. Varun (Akshay Kumar) loves her dearly but does not share her passion for having a baby. This causes rifts in them. Finally, they decide to have a baby through IVF. Everything is hunky dory till Dr Joshi's (Adil Hussain) team mixes up the sperms of the two Batras. Chandigarh based couple Honey (Diljit Dosanjh) and Monika (Kiara Advani) Batra are loud, annoying and utterly lack the sophistication possessed by Varun and Dipti.
