If the mess of DTH premier show issue is not enough to delay the release of Kamal Hassan's 'Viswaroopam' and make it to the news continously for all the wrong reasons, then today the movie ran into another controversy and subsequently postponed it's release(in Tamilnadu) further. This time it is religious controversy that the movie is facing. The muslim section of Tamilnadu argue that they have been shown wrongly & negatively, and they approached the Tamilnadu government for a ban on the movie & succeeded in getting a 15 days interim ban over the movie in the entire Tamilnadu.

Kamal Hassan appealed in Madras High Court against the Tamilnadu government's decision and after hearing both parties in the case, the judge has ordered a stay over the release of 'Vishwaroopam' in Tamilnadu State by differing his judgement to 28th, January. According to some sources the movie is on the track to be released on 25th January in Andhra Pradesh.
