Paagal (2021) Prem(Vishwak Sen) is very close to his mother(Bhumika). But sadly, at a very young age, he loses her to cancer. He always remembers his mom telling him that if you love someone sincerely they will also love you back. So taking this seriously, he keeps proposing to every girl he meets. But sadly, he gets rejected most of the time until he finally falls for Teera(Nivetha Pethuraj). What changes did Teera bring in Prem’s life and did he find true love or not forms the story of Paagal?.

The title ‘Paagal’ says it all. Though youthful vibe and some entertaining portions, the film has a silly plot and bizarre romance..

Everything turned routine and forced and with the artificial and superficial look, the film failed to connect chords with the movie lovers. To some extent, the screenplay is ok in the first half, but it went missing in the second half. Director Naresh himself missed the clarity on how to turn Paagal into. Whether he should show it as an emotional, youthful entertainer or hilarious entertainer.

Paagal has a decent premise but the execution is not of the desired perfection. It has its bright moments in the first half but the slow-paced second half is the spoilsport. The film is a middling love drama..

Paagal is a poorly made film, offers literally nothing to the audience except for a couple of songs and some okay performance from Vishwak Sen. Age-old plot, with no comedy, no emotions, nothing. A very forgettable film for everyone involved..

What’s laudable however is how Prem unwaveringly sticks to what he wants no matter what. If his character is shown as someone who will go to any lengths for his love, he truly will. Does that make him a sane person? No. Then again the film is named Paagal. The film might not be something you need during this pandemic like Prem needs love, but if a few laughs and an overdose of "love" is your cup of tea, give it a watch this weekend..

n a nutshell, despite the peppy presentation and Vishwak Sen’s energetic act, “Paagal” falls flat with a silly story. Bottom-line: Thin Story, Dragged Narration.

poor story and weak direction add to the woes. The story isn’t fresh. The love story between two orphans from childhood days makes the film very ordinary. Nivetha’s backstory should be shortened. It is a tad boring. The fun and youthful scenes in the first half may entertain masses. Barring these, Paagal has nothing much to offer..

On the whole, Paagal is a romantic drama with a decent first half. The comedy keeps the audience entertained and Vishwak Sen does well. But the film falls flat during the second half as the love story is weak, routine, and lacks the needed emotion making Paagal a half-baked love story..
