Most Eligible Bachelor (2021) Harsha(Akhil) is a well-settled software employee in the US. He comes back to India in search of a bride and his parents arrange various proposals for him. But Harsha falls for Vibha(Pooja Hegde), a stand-up comedian who has a very practical mindset. But things turn on its head as a small family feud crashes Harsha’s love story. Probably, this is an attempt to tell us to give up on logic. Especially, the placement of Bujjulu Bujjulu song (an out-and-out glam song follows teary-eyed heroine) shows the makers desperateness to fill a romantic song. The pre-climax and climax portions further dampen the overall experience. Helpless Prakash Raj sends rowdies as a last attempt to stop Vasisth. He gets saved by a basketball (yes, you read it right). The end is even silly. After watching the film, one doesn’t know why the film is named as Pelli SandaD, after all, the film has no Sandadi (fun) at all..

Most Eligible Bachelor is a Mixed Bag with Passable Comedy in a Preachy Narrative laced with Good Music. It reminds us of several recent films like `Shaadi Mubarak` and mulitple others. The film holds appeal to Younger Audiences but only worked partially in conveying its core topic due to its uneven screen-play which neither goes completely classy without logical loopholes nor plays to the galleries. There aren’t any larger than life, bigger screen worthy moments and it can probably be tried at the comfort of your home. Nevertheless, this may be still Worth a try for a family outing this festival weekend considering the other options are no better..

Bommarillu Bhaskar came with a simple story and he tried to include youthful elements to attract viewers. To some extent, he emerged successful with humor in the first half. But his screenplay and direction lost way in the second half, as he turned preachy with no real solution though climax scenes are loaded with emotions. A little fine-tuning of the script would have done wonders for Most Eligible Bachelor. Considering all these points,.

At one point, Akhil says his situation is like that of rasam that was placed on a banana leaf. The rasam goes in all directions. By the end of the film, we feel the same, as the story moves in many directions. “Most Eligible Bachelor” is just a passable rom-com, but with more boring portions..

Most Eligible Bachelor’ with its wafer-thin story line, ends up presenting a cliché definition to “Romance”. A disappointing second half negates the entertaining first half. Two good songs and overall lighter vein approach might be enough to a limited section of youngsters. At its best, this is an average film..
