Pellikani PrasadA primitive love story, the film begins with Sujatha (Sridevi) who is the darling daughter of Gopalrao(Raghuvaran). Being a protective father, he is of the firm belief that daughters must marry the boy of parent's choice and hates the idea of love and getting eloped.
A poor presentation of a subject that could have come out as a hilarious entertainer considering the plot and the cast, the director made a mess of the whole thing despite so many advantages. The first half was dedicated to Naresh and the second half went.
Sridevi is pretty good in what she needs to do, and so actually are Raghuvaran and the rest of the cast. The film will sink, so there's no way any of the thoroughly ordinary songs (including the item number by Tanu Rai) will ride any tide to become popul.
