Aakasamantha (2009) Raghuram and his wife Anu have one daughter, Abhi. They are a lovable family, financially comfortable, facing no health or other major problems. But Raghuram loves his daughter so much that he is obsessed with trying to guide her every little step. Thus as Abhi grows, Raghuram must himself "grow" and gradually learn -- with comic results -- how to trust his daughter to live her own life..

Do not miss it. Take your daughter, especially if she is in her teens. This is a movie that a father should watch along with his daughter(s). Tailpiece: Why don�t they ever make movies like this in Tollywood? Surely there are enough talented actors in .

The film is rendered slightly frumpy owing to the dull photography, and is cranked up only by the fact that it is set entirely in a hill-station. The music is not exactly commercial material, but it has an offbeat folksy feel to it, and Kailash Kher packs.

First half of the film is entertaining. Second half is bit slow and becomes little repetitive towards the end. Akasamantha is all about letting one’s daughter go. It is about the mental turmoil and confusion an over-possessive father goes through whenev.
