Anamika (2014) Anaamika (Nayanathara) comes to India from Gettysburg USA, in search of her missing husband Ajay (Harshavardhan Rane). She reaches the Old City area in Hyderabad and starts looking around for her husband in the Galaxy Hotel area, where he was last seen. She also files a complaint with the local police station. As an NRI and a single woman, she is quite fed up with the attitude of the police officers who refuse to take her seriously. However, one man comes to her rescue and that is Inspector Sarathy (Vaibhav Reddy). They begin searching for her missing husband but very soon, big forces come into play. The Home Minister (Naresh) gets involved in the matter and he tasks Officer Khan (Pasupathy) with the recovery of a hard disk that is central to the mystery. The lives of Sarathy and Anaamika are in danger, as ruthless people try to protect a dark secret. How Anaamika gets to the bottom of the mystery and solves her problems is what this story is all about..

A serious film and has topical subject, Anaamika is a nice thriller. Although it doesn't look as novel as the original movie, this is fairly good adaptation of Kaahani by Sekhar Kammula. Post interval sequences work out so well. For those who have not see.

For those who have not watched Kahaani, Anamika will make for a good watch. But if you have already watched Kahaani, then it is hard to forget the original. It’s a different effort from Shekhar Kammula. But will the audience like it remains to be seen. .

First half of the film is little slow and second half has the main content. The audiences of this film can be categorized into two groups - people who have seen Kahaani and people who haven’t seen Kahaani. As a person who has seen Kahaani, I find the ch.

Some good films are not meant to be remade or rehashed, even if they are, a lot of effort in tweaking it into a good film should be made and not rely on the Cinematography, music and art work alone and of course not to forget the Heroine who talks with vo.

For audience who did not watch ‘Kahaani,’ you can try it once. An expert at generating feel-good with an incredible ease, Sekhar failed to achieve the same in this mysterious suspense-thriller genre. Finally, appreciate Sekhar for not following the co.

On the whole, Anaamika is a bona fide attempt to create a women centric thriller. However, in an attempt to bring thrills and emotions together, the result is a slapdash concoction, which unintentionally dilutes the amalgamation of the two, akin to a whim.

Nayantara tries hard to save the film and yes, she is partly successful. Pre-climax portions are good. Despite missing some logic, the film is a one-time watch. The film might connect to people who haven't watched original Kahaani. Verdict: Seedha Saad.
