Karthikeya (2014) Karthik (Nikhil) is a medical student and also a fearless atheist. There is a famous Karthikeya temple in Subramanyapuram. This temple is shut down an year back. All the curious people/journalists who try to enter temple are killed by a snake. Karthik who is sent for a medical camp to Subramanyapuram stumbles upon a few mysterious events. The rest of the story is all about how Karthik chased the mystery..

The movie has great cinematography. The sets look very interesting and visually appealing. Tollywood gets a talented new director in the form of Chandoo Mondeti. The movie looks to be a product of an experienced director and not of a novice. Verdict:- R.

The technical departments did a good job, especially Shekar Chandra's BGM and the cinematography. These two elements lend a rich texture to this film. A bit of extra technique from the director's side could have made 'Karthikeya' a slick film to root fo.

The director also introduces the novel concept of animal hypnosis to retain the interest of the audience. But a mysterious temple town, a couple in love and a few mysterious deaths are enough to keep the audiences glued. Chandoo Mondeti has surely come up.

Actor Nikhil and producer should be appreciated for agreeing to do a film that is different from regular Telugu movies. Supported by a neat screenplay and a bit of comedy, debutant director Chandoo Mondeti delivers a decent movie. Additional plus point of.

At Box Office, 'Karthikeya' is undoubtedly the biggest ever release for Nikhil. Especially, Multiplexes have shown a lot of faith in this thriller and offered good number of screens. This film has got the potential to become Nikhil's highest grosser..

On the whole, Karthikeya is one of the most refreshing films in the recent past. Novel concept, gripping screenplay, Nikhil’s performance and cleverly designed suspense elements make this film different from others, and ends up as quite an engaging watc.
