O Teri (2014)O Teri movie is about two reporters in Delhi, Pulkit Samrat as Prantabh Pratab (P.P) and Bilal Amrohi as Anand Ishwaram Devdutt Subhramaniyam (A.I.D.S) and the corrupt system of the present world. Story in detail: They say Fortune always favors the brave. Well, then they are obviously talking out of their hat. For it sometimes also accidentally shines on the hugely reticent and plain bumblingly lucky. Prantabh Pratap (PP) & Anand Ishvaram Devadutt Subramanium (AIDS, in short) are ordinary journalists doing ordinary stories, facing ordinary pressures of life when a quirky turn of events changes their lives. A chatpata mix of non-heroic and therefore relatable heroes, O Teri! is a very real, very believable, very wry and satirical look at what our country has become. As seen from the eyes of today’s youth. It speaks their lingo and reflects their thought process. Set in Delhi, the powerhouse of the country, if it seems to offer a comment on how all the big cogs function, we totally deny we intended it. .
n fact, that goes for the whole film. In case you’ve always wondered how JBDY would look if made with all the subtlety of Phir Hera Pheri/Grand Masti, then this is your lucky day. (There’s even a peculiar song about “butts.”) Which is a pity becau.
One character in O Teri reminds us that justice is blind, the public is dumb and the government is deaf. He might as well have added one more to that – on a bad day, Bollywood is spectacularly brainless..
On the whole, O TERI had the potential to be a smart take on political scams and corrupt bureaucrats, but, unfortunately, the film crumbles thanks to a shoddy screenplay..
