Drishyam (2014)
Ram Babu(Venkatesh) is a honest cable operator in the small village of Rajavaram. He lives with his wife(Meena) and two teenage daughters and leads a happy life with his small but happy family.
One fine day, an uncanny incident featuring his elder daughter strikes his family, and puts them in deep trouble with the cops. Rest of the story is as to how Ram Babu manages to come out of his problems, and saves his family..

If you have watched the original, the Telugu version might disappoint you. But if you are watching it for the first time, it is bound to thrill you. Though it is being looked upon as a brave experiment in Telugu, the industry is hopeful that such experime.

For Venky's fans out there, specially those who are grumbling over the actor's previous films, this film gives a fitting reply. Venky deserves laurels as it's not easy to accept a middle-aged role who has two daughters. On whole, Drushyam is a visual trea.

Looks like, Makers have compromised on the production values a bit to keep the budget under control. 'Drushyam' which was made with a moderate budget of just Rs 8 crore excluding Venkatesh's remuneration is surely gonna earn good returns for everyone asso.
