Sankarabharanam (2015) Sankarabharam story of an NRI Goutham (Nikhil) who lives with his family in, America and his family is verge of bankruptcy. At this time his mother (Sitara) tells about Sankarabharanam palace and to prevent his family from being bankrupt, Goutham leaves to India. Soon after arrival he is been kidnapped and then after series of events, an ambit of Kidnappers and the NRI gets mixed up in a stew that keeps passing hands from Sanjay Mishra and Anjali. Here starts a crazy ride of kidnapping leaving everyone involved in it befuddled .

The film has garnered mixed reviews from the audience. The film is neither bad nor good. First half of the film runs on dull note, with a promising second half. Slight comedy, pinch of craziness and a big gang of kidnappers, last but not the least Anjaliâ.

Like we said earlier, Prudhvi and some comedy in the climax are the saving grace of this dull and boring movie. Bottomline: Badly composed Sankarabharanam!.

Sankarabharanam is remake of a Hindi movie but only a portion of the story is taken from Phas Gaye Re Obama. Penultimate sequences and Prudhvi are the saving grace..

Recently released Superstar Kidnap is also having same story, probably the whole of second half lifted from Hindi movie Phas Gayare Obama. Surprisingly all these films failed, and Shankarabaranam is looking no better. Final words: Classic title wasted .

Cinejosh rates ‘Sankarabharanam’ 2.25 stars disrespecting Kona Venkat for dishonoring the old classic ‘Sankarabharanam’ with this utterly miserable film. Commercially, ‘Sankarabharanam’ might close its Box Office affair in less than one week. .

On the whole, Shankarabharanam is good only in bits and pieces. A dragged out first half, slow narration and some below par execution of crucial scenes spoil the effect most of the time. Having said that, you can try this film only for its unique story li.
