Loafer (2015)
“Loafer” is about a happy-go-lucky guy, Raja (Varun Tej) who is light hearted, greedy and fun loving. He was torn apart by his parent’s separation in the early age, and grows up with his father in Jodhpur. Varun works with his father and cons the local people and Tourists around. Accidently he meets up with Parijatham (Disha Patani) and falls in love at first site. Then he starts the game to woo his lady love until she accepts his love. But things fall apart when she gets kidnapped by goons lead by Mukesh Rushi. Following the trail Varun reaches his hometown and where he gets to meet his mother Lakshmi (Revathi), which adds a complication into his life. As this family drama fable with a flash back episode tucked in, it turns out Murali (Posani) had a motive which is connected with him. Loafer is a simple story told in a most cinematic way possible..

As per the title, the real loafer in the movie is Posani not Varun Tej's character. Don't know why Puri stuck to this title. In Puri Jagannadh's filmography this will add up as another mediocre movie.

All in all, Cinejosh rates ‘Loafer’ with 2.25 stars feeling bad to see Puri working on an uninteresting, goalless and rotten plot. Commercially, ‘Loafer’ might pay because production standards also stood quite deplorable..

Overall, Loafer is film which will do wonders for Varun Tej’s confidence and career. The lanky hero steals the show in a mass avatar and impresses big time. But a predictable story line, hurried up climax and below average music spoil the mood of the fi.
