Ghayal Once Again (2016) “The story begins over two decades after the events of the first film. Ajay Mehra (Sunny Deol), suffering from Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), now runs a news agency, that everyone looks up to for its high morality. But that is not all. He also runs a secret spy sort of agency that takes justice in to their own hands. The movie has too many characters and takes way too much time to establish in your mind. The driving plot of the film is unimaginative and generic for 2016; a group of four kids who have come into possession of a video footage of a murder. We don’t get to see our favorite action star deliver some kick ass action sequences in the first half. Which is overtly disappointing. After one hour of the film and possibly the longest chase sequence EVER, I finally got to see Sunny burst into action mode and that’s when the interval happened. The best thing so far are the eloquent shots of Mumbai. You can’t imagine how beautiful the city is looking on screen..

Only wish the climax was not so long-winded. Watch this one, even if you are not a Sunny Deol fan. The action sequences are worth your ticket money..

The action hero returns to serve some old fashioned justice in Ghayal Once Again as the still seething, still suffering Ajay Mehra like only he can. If also it could deliver the stamp of sharp, solid filmmaking like only the man who conceived Ajay Mehra c.

On the whole GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN comes across as a shoddy and outdated attempt of the classic remake. Fans of Sunny Deol might patronize the movie; however the aam junta might not take a liking to it. As a result the movie will have a tough time at the box .

Ajay Mehra has mellowed down and is mature now. If you wanted to watch him thrash men with his ‘Dhaai Kilo Ka Haat ‘ and scream ‘Balwantrai ke kutton’ get set for disappointment.

This seems to be an exercise in overacting. The baddies scream, the hero roars and the young women whimper. There’s an interesting twist in the second half, but by then you may be too numb to care. After watching this, the question about who is the woun.
