Premam (2016) 'Premam' is an official remake of 2015 Classic 'Premam' from Malayalam. The movie features Nagachaitanya, Shrutihaasan, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran in titular roles. Chaitanya Krishna, Praveen, Josh Ravi, Brahmaji, Narra Srinu, Jeeva, Vinay Vijayan, Avantika Vandanapu are part of the supporting cast. So let's see how the movie has fared and is different from the original.    The movie begins on lighter note where Naga Chaitanya was shown as a Class X student who falls in love with Anupama. However she falls for another guy and the puppy love ends heart broken. Story moves to 2005, where Vikram enters Engineering college. He meets college lecturer Sitara and falls for her once again. She too reciprocates the love. Story moves with more college scenes and fun filled elements. But twist to the tale happens when Shruti faces an accident and forgets old memories. Now time forwards to 2016 and Nag meets Madonna Sebastian. But she is already engaged to a drug addict. But this time, Chaitu never gave up his love and what happens next is a lighter vein climax for movie lovers..

A fairly entertaining rom-com. Musically and lyrically superb. One of the career best performances by Chaitanya. Comedy wins. A happy festival watch..

On the flipside, there are a few dull moments in second half due to a few forced comedy elements (Sathya teaching dancing etc). On a whole, Premam is a film of moments that explores love in it’s purest/idealistic perspective. You may watch it!.
