Babu Bangaram (2016)
Nayanthara is the daughter of an accused (Murali Sharma) who is on the run. This is the time when ACP Krishna(Venkatesh) enters the scene and starts getting close to Selvi.
In this process, he also falls in love with her but to his bad luck, Selvi finds out that Krishna has done all this only to arrest her dad. Things get upset between the couple and they break up with each other.
Rest of the story is as to how Krishna gets serious with his investigation and catches the culprits and wins his love back..

Venkatesh gets it right; those of you who love to watch Venky in a light-veined role should watch this. As for the flaws, they are glaring..

Babu Bangaram' completely relies on Venkatesh's dramatics and the comedy by Prudhvi. Both these aspects are positive but the movie turns too predictable after the interval. At best, it is a timepass template movie..

Babu Bangaram is aimed at being an all-round entertainer where there is something for everybody. Hence the director has filled the film with entertainment threads with Pruthvi dominating first half and Posani doing his bit in second half. It’s high time.

All in all, "Babu Bangaram" as the title says Venkatesh may be gold but the film isn't . Except for Venky's histrionics and Prudhvi's comedy, the movie completely turns bore.
