Raees (2017) Raees is the fictitious story of a man named Raees, set in early 1980's to 1990's Gujarat, India. The film explores how Raees relationships and meteoric rise helped him build an entire empire from scratch, to make him the single most powerful man in the state. Less of a gangster but more of an impresario, Raees gains popularity, a cult following and most importantly the public's trust by demonstrating entrepreneurial flair and the action oriented movie is packed with Shah Rukh Khan's superb style of acting..

For Parzania and Lamhaa director Rahul Dholakia, Raees might be markedly unfamiliar territory, but he doesn't let that fact undermine the content and its context. The balance that he achieves lends the film sustained solidity..

As a movie, Raees is definitely a letdown especially for those who expect a Deewar-like dhamakedaar masala movie. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan might give the movie its huge initial but don’t expect the road ahead to be a smooth ride. And warning for all super.

Between the don on the run, the cop on the chase, there are so many facets to 'Raees', recounted through a gasping episode after another that you wished the filmmakers had calmed down just for bit, given us few moments to pause and soak in the material. T.

SRK’s bravado dialogue delivery has some great stand out moments. Nawaz’s cheeky lines make you smile. Sunny Leone’s Laila number adds the veritable oomph. Raees serves up every thrill and spill you’d expect from a commercial masala movie. While t.

A song in the film reminds us that Raees played by SRK is a ‘single piece ‘ in this world. Yes he is, but maybe we’ll be more aware of that the next time around..

If you are in the mood to watch an intense Shahrukh Khan doing some hard-core 'dishoom-dishoom' and mouthing dialogues like 'Din Aur Raat Logon Ke Hotein Hai, Sheron Ka Zamaana Hota Hai', then Raees might be your pick for this week. But don't blame us if .

On the whole, RAEES is a sure-shot hit. To state that SRK is sensational would be an understatement. The love, adulation and stardom that he attained in his early films will be showered on him yet again in RAEES. A few more factors contribute too: Nawazud.
