Thanu Vachenanta (2016)Teja (Teja Kakumanu), a happy-go-lucky young man attempts suicide under mysterious circumstances but ends up in vain due to his friend Chanti (Chalaki Chanti). Explaining the tragic story behind his suicide attempt to Chanti, Teja discloses about his girl friend Swetha (Dhanya Balakrishna), wife Shruti (Rashmi Gautam) and his dreadful equation between them. In an attempt to resolve Teja’s problem, Chanti ends up buying more. A series of miraculous circumstances lead to a major ‘zombie’ twist in the story.

Tanu Vachchenanta' is a zombie-comedy that is treated like routine Telugu masala horror movie. The zombie gets boring after a point, the oddball wit goes for a toss, and the climax comes a cropper.
The Zombie concept is quite new to the Telugu audience and we can never predict the audience pulse. However, it should be said that the movie has got some really amazing elements while loop holes too. To be mentioned here is the comedy track between Rashm.
Beyond a horror or thriller, Thanu Vachenanta is a light-hearted zombie comedy that you can try out this weekend especially for Rashmi, Chanti & the timepass comedy..
Thanu Vachenanta is an innovative attempt to move away from the routine horror comedies that have been hitting Telugu silver screens quite frequently. But the makers completely fail to thrill the audience with the horror and glamor quotient as promoted. C.
