Ghatana (2016)Malini (Nithya Menon) works as a Nurse in a corporate Hospital and she dreams to work in Canada. She meets a guy named Varun (Krish) and falls in love with him. She even decides to go with a live in relationship. But things take a turn as Malini gets raped by Varun's boss Prakash (Naresh). Malini goes upset after this incident. She moves to another city and even there she gets raped once again. And after the rape she is even thrown behind bars on Drugs case. Now Malini tries to take revenge on those who raped her. How she takes the revenge forms the rest of the story..
The film comes with n interesting plot. “Ghatana” is a must watch film for its interesting concept. Nitya Menen’s performance is a special mention and one will definitely applaud her after watching the film. Go watch the film only in theaters..
Ghatana tries to pass a hard hitting message. But Public themselves are tormented due to the cash crunches and this is not the right time to deliver the message. Nithya Menen alone carries the movie forward. Kudos to Sri Divya for not making the rape scen.
On the whole, Ghatana is a film which deals with woman empowerment. Though the subject chosen is good, the film completely falters with a slow paced narration and too much pathos which is hard to digest for regular Telugu audience. The outdated storyline .
