Jawaan (2017)
Jawaan is the story of Jai (Sai Dharam Tej) who is talented and responsible citizen. He has immense love for his family , career wise aims of making it big in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). While a team of scientists through years of research develop a missile ‘Octopus’, an evil (Prasanna) tries to steal it after he inks a massive deal with international mafia. The rest of ‘Jawaan’ is about how Jai faces the challenges, overcomes and wins the battle leaving his family safe. .

All in all, “Jawaan” mostly treads “Dhruva’s” path but it is not that riveting. Nevertheless it has some interesting episodes in the second half. Overall, it is a fairly better movie for Sai Dharam Tej but not for audiences.

Jawaan’ is an okay action entertainer that completely relies on face-off between Sai Dharam Tej and Prasanna. If not for 'Dhruva', 'Lie', 'Spyder', this movie would have been worked. But the novelty has worn off now. Though initial set up doesn’t imp.

Pre climax and climax scenes seem hurried and lacks the required punch. A better climax would have helped Jawaan to become a memorable one. Having said that it does have engaging elements and a slick production design, which is worth giving a shot. Jawaan.

On the whole, Jawaan is the story of a man who fights for his nation. Though the storyline of the film is good, it is the half-baked execution which leaves a lot to be desired. Things are left to Sai Dharam Tej’s brilliant performance and he single-hand.

All in all, Jawaan is a high standard idea of National Security and DRDO which went erratic in execution due to poor screenplay and weak direction. Despite Sai Dharam and Prasanna gave their best to hold the interest on, director in BVS Ravi disappointed .
