The story of "Rangula Raatnam" is resolutely familiar and the narration is trite. Except for couple of moments, much of the movie has amateurish taking, and the editor seems to have forgotten to clip out the boring parts or speed up the pace that is slowe.

It might have seemed better with a good soundtrack. There is a lot of scope for the music director to take control, but Sri Charan couldn't utilize it. Bad music made the slow paced film even tough to enjoy. Raj Tarun's flawless performance and impressive.
