Kaala (2018) Kaala(Rajinikanth) is a demigod in the Dharavi slum area of Mumbai. Many corporate companies keep trying to evacuate the slum and build new age constructions in that area but Kaala and his group always stop it from happening. But things get tough for Kaala with the entry of Hari Das(Nana Patekar). A massive tug of war kick starts between the rich and poor and the rest of the story is as to how Kaala comes out victorious in his mission and saves Dharavi and its people from being the soft target of people like Hari Das..

Kaala’ is political movie with lot of Tamil flavour. We see less of Rajini-ism, more of political propaganda. Although some sequences in the middle-portion are arrestingly good, rest of the drama doesn't hold interest at all. An underwhelming film. Howe.

Kaala appeals in parts because of its well written scenes and characters, but fails on a whole. You may watch it for Rajani and some mass moments, but make sure to keep your expectations in check. Verdict: Rajanikanth underused again!.

Kaala is Ranjith’s social responsibility delivered with Rajini’s macho fire power. The tale of rights, the story of suppressed standing tall against odds and power. Go watch it for entertainment with responsibility..

Kaala presents vintage Rajinikanth and his elements in a stylized manner. With its solid casting, brilliant technical values ‘Kaala’ may appeal to fans and masses, though a routine theme. Second half couldn’t match the first one, but on a whole it i.

All in all, Kaala is a true Rajinikanth film with decent Fan moments and some genuine performances from powerhouse artists Rajini, Nana Patekar. Despite a predictable plot and leisure narrative, Kaala can have its own political impulsions in Tamil Nadu..

All said, Kaala is a boring and tiresome wannabe message based entertainer, that again ends neither as a Rajni movie nor as a Ranjith movie, and is sure to disappoint the Superstar's fans yet again.
