Thugs Of Hindostan (2018) THUGS OF HINDOSTAN is the story of a group of rebels fighting the British. The year is 1795. The kingdom is ruled by a benevolent king [Ronit Roy]. The evil Clive [Lloyd Owen] annexes the kingdom by treacherous means and kills the king and queen. The king's guardian, Khudabaksh [Amitabh Bachchan], escapes with the king's daughter Zafira [Fatima Sana Shaikh]. 11 years later, Khudabakash, Zafira and their gang are now considered thugs. They have wrecked havoc in the lives of the Britishers. With no other option in hand, Clive summons Firangi Malla [Aamir Khan] to trace the whereabouts of Khudabaksh. Firangi is a devious character and it's difficult to trust him. Betrayal is his second nature by his own admission. With the help of his friend Shanichar [Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub], Firangi devises a plan and enrols into Khudabaksh's army. What happens next?.

There's a dialogue in the film which goes like, 'Azad Ko Pakadne Ke Liye Koi Azaad Jaisa Thug Chahiye'. Unfortunately, the inconsistent direction and wafer-thin plot fails to do justice to the two acting stalwarts of Indian cinema and makes the audience f.

Thugs should have been shorter, sharper and made use of the talent it signed up. Instead Vijay Krishna Acharya ends up being the jack of all trades but the master of none. His attempt to excel in every technical department but pay zero attention to the wr.

Mr Bachchan as Khudabaksh, for whom azadi is an idea that should be planted in everyone’s hearts and minds is someone you root for because the actor makes sure his angst speaks to you. And Aamir as Firangi, is someone you can relate to because the actor.

All said and done, Thugs Of Hindostan is no Race 3 or Veer but it’s an awe-inspiring disappointment. At this stage of his career, Aamir Khan should be extra cautious of not slipping towards the projects and act in the movies he’s known for. Thugs Of H.

The only one having a blast is Aamir Khan, in his curly mop coloured a carrot shade, a glint-in-the-eye Awadhi thug. And while he’s around, it’s bearable. Just about. The rest of it is a non-stop combo of eye-roll-and-eye-glaze..
