Amar Akbar Anthony (2018)
Amar (Ravi Teja) and Pooja (Ileana D'Cruz) were brutally orphaned by the villains (Tarun Arora, Vikramjeet Virk, Aditya Menon & Co) in childhood. They have been separated by circumstances and the girl had to change her identity.
Amar, who has served a prison term, is out in the town to eliminate one enemy after another. But here, there is a catch. He keeps forgetting his identity once in a while. And to add to his woes, an FBI officer (played by Abhimanyu Singh) is out to nab him.
The rest of the story is about how Amar, who doubles up as Akbar and Anthony, overcomes his mental condition and takes on the antagonists. In this, he takes the services of a bunch of quirky characters (played by Vennela Kishore, Satya, Sunil and others)..

Dr. Anthony’s signature dialogue ‘I am Strong. You are Strong. We are all strong. Relax’ will make the audience Relax and just relax throughout the movie. In the theatres, you all should be strong enough else it’s hard..

Overall, it is another mediocre film from the stable of Sreenu Vaitla. Ravi Teja’s Anthony character says this line: “I am strong, you are strong, and we are all strong. Relax.” But to watch this, you need to be very strong.
Bottom-line: No Relax.

Amar Akbar Anthony' is a revenge drama with illogical moments and clumsy narration. Yet another disappointing movie from Vaitla. The best part of the movie is: lavish production values of Mythri Movie Makers. Punchline would be: Mugguru Kadu Atanokkade!.

Amar Akbar Anthony` is a literal Bore-fest right from the word Go!. The director failed to establish emotions properly and once again faltered with silly comedy mixed with outdated narration. Lavish Production Values are the only saving grace of this Rout.

Amar, Akbar and Anthony with the necessary variations is interesting, and the way he establishes the connect towards the interval, by maintaining the suspense throughout the first half keeps the audience engaged. The second half moves at a great pace, wit.

On the whole Amar Akbar Anthony is yet another disappointment from the likes of Sreenu Vaitla. The star director gets it all wrong as the film is a logic less revenge drama which falls flat in many ways. There are a few comic moments which might click wit.

Amar Akbar Anthony is a revenge story based on ‘Dissociative identity disorder’. This may disappoint the audience as unlike Vaitla’s other movies ,this flick does not have commercial elements. Tried different plot but it barely sustained. Srinu Vait.
