2.0 (2018) The story of 2.0 is so simple that it could be explained in two lines but I’ll not tell either of them just because I want everyone to experience this first-hand. Without any spoilers, let’s just say Dr. Waseegaran has a new robot in Nila (Amy Jackson) and she’s breathtakingly beautiful to start with. Waseegaran wants Chitti back but because of back-door politics, this becomes a tough task. Chitti comes back to fight Pakshi Raja (Akshay Kumar) and no my friends that’s not a spoiler. The entire story revolves around this entertaining face-off. But what makes it different is the cause because of which this delightful chaos is created on screen. [Now, that’s the limit to which I can convince you to go to see the film, without talking anything about the story. Please go!].

2.0 is a landmark film in Indian cinema and captain of the ship Shankar deserves all the credit. Watch it for Akshay Kumar’s crazy act as the menacing bird man and of course the superstar Rajinikanth is a bonus thrown in the mix.

2.0 is dull as ditchwater in the first half, perking up a little in the second, with a half-way watchable Akshay, and a Rajini coming into his own right towards the end, for a bit. There are some oh-wow moments, but on the whole, the film is not worth all.

Actually, don’t. Despite that tedious climax, 2.0 is a blast. It could have been a smarter film, but it is a mostly fun Rajinikanth ride, with solid 3D and great Atmos sound — so good is the mastering that at one point when Kumar sets many a phone rin.

The right-versus-wrong tropes that 2.0 employs are trite, but the battle at the heart of the film - it pits a warped model of development against the need for ecological conservation in a no-holds-barred fantasy - has moments that are thought-provoking an.

All said and done, 2.0 is a fully fledged package having a good looking body & a soul to which you’ll connect instantly. There’s a lot for both Rajinikanth & Akshay Kumar fans; not a single person will leave theatres half heartedly. A MUST WATCH in ci.

Akshay Kumar makes his presence felt with a solid perfomance as the antagonist whose heart is in the right place. The climatic battle between the two titans - 2.0 and Pakshiraja - ensures that we get the bang for our buck. If only he had introduced these .
