Zero (2018) Bauaa Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) is a 38 year old dwarf living in Meerut who wants to get married ASAP. A marriage counsellor (Brijendra Kala) gets him to meet Aafia Yusufzai Bhinder (Anushka Sharma), a wheelchair-bound space scientist suffering from cerebral palsy. The two connect despite their differences and it looks like true love is blossoming between them. But Bauaa has his heart set on Babita Kumari (Katrina Kaif), the reigning Bollywood queen. He gets a chance to meet her by participating in a dance competition and runs away from his marriage mandap to realise that dream. He does manage to get close to her and become her confidante but later realises that his heart actually belongs to Aafia and he has hurt her badly. How he wins back her trust and her love forms the crux of the film..

Zero is an ambitious project, has various sub stories etched into its 165-minute run time. Its no hidden secret that Bauua the loner in Meerut was more enjoyable. Why do Bollywood stars always need to take the train to stardom – refer to those hi-life s.

On the whole, ZERO has several factors going for it: star presence, winsome performances, energetic soundtrack and of course, it’s timed during the Christmas and New Year vacations. Sadly, the weak, flawed and lacklustre screenwriting is all that you re.

All said and done, Shah Rukh Khan as Bauua Singh makes sure you leave the cinema halls with a smile on your face. The first half has some of the wittiest dialogues to come out of Bollywood. Watch this one for stellar performances, arresting cinematograph.

The movie takes its sweet time to establish its characters, and with the first half at a brisk pace, with Himanshu Sharma's witty dialogues and screenplay, Zero gets a value addition, and the second half despite its share of drags, appeals. SRK with his e.

This could have been a film for the ages. How many times do we see A-list Bollywood superstars go out of their comfort zone? SRK could have taken a deep dive into Bauua and emerged on another level. But he gets busy trying to do another Swades, and fly th.
