Ismart Shankar (2019)
Shankar (Ram) kills a politician after taking supari from his uncle but he later finds that his uncle is not fair to him.
Along with his girlfriend Chandini (Nabha Natesh), he goes to Goa to hide but the killed politician’s men are after him. Chandini is murdered.
Months later, the CBI officer Arun (Satya Dev) who is investigating the case is also killed in an attack.
Then high-ranking officials seek the help of a neuro-scientist Sara (Nidhi), who also happens to be the girlfriend of dead officer Arun, to trace the real men behind the politician’s attack.
She transplants Arun’s memories into the mind of Shankar and he becomes ‘iSmart Shankar’..

iSmart Shankar' features a predictable story with an inspired spin on the hero's character. Caricaturish villains, a grossly underdeveloped investigation track, love tracks that are rich in hate-feminism elements, a lazy climax - you have them all..

ISmart Shankar is a typical commercial affair to attract mass audiences in consideration, backed by Puri Jagan’s trademark eccentricity.Ram nailed it with his angry young man performance and excellent dance moves. Unarguably this is his career best perf.

Plus points of the film are Ram’s terrific work, Puri Jagan dialogues/direction and entertaining screenplay in 2nd half (Double Dhimaak concept). Ram has been struggling to find a footing as a solid mass hero for some time and this film gives him a posi.

iSmart Shankar’ is aimed at frontbenchers. Despite the idea of transplantation of memories being new, the rest of the story and its treatment are over-the-top and too clichéd. This is a loud mass action-thriller..

iSmart Shankar` is a Full on Mass High Octane Entertainer with a bit of twist. It is like an old wine in a new bottle and is primarily an Action Revenge Drama. Ram`s Performance and Characterisation make the film a highly entertaining one, despite its sha.

One the whole, Ismart Shankar is an unapologetic full on mass masala entertainer aimed at the masses. Ram’s crazy makeover will be loved by many. His one man show and good music make the otherwise ordinary story and dull narration click in several areas.

iSmart Shankar is just like every other Puri movie but with a better plot and the lead actor totally involved in his character. It has chances to do well in mass centers and single screens. The eccentricity and hollow script is a bitter pill to swallow fo.
