Jodi (2019) Kapil(Aadi) is a software employee who falls in love with Kanchanamala(Shraddha Srinath). Just when everything seems to be going fine, Kanchanamala’s father rejects the marriage proposal all of a sudden citing Kapil’s dad(Naresh) as a huge problem. What problem does Kanchanamala’s dad have with Kapil’s dad? How will Kapil solve this issue and win Kanchanamala’s hand? That forms the rest of the story..

In telling a story with potency and depth, 'Jodi' falters in too many ways. It tries to infuse intelligence but it ends up looking all the more dumb. In the hands of an ambitious director, this one would have become a treat..

Overall, Jodi is a regular, boring family entertainer. Nothing much for youth and family audience. Although the main focus among other new releases in this week is on Jodi, the film botched to make any impression.

We have to give it to the director for getting some talented actors on board for this film with zero script and also for making the producers invest so much money into it. Jodi is a film that could be skipped even when it is streaming online for free..

The way their love story progresses without much hullabaloo works beautifully too. Aadi is good enough in his role but it is Shraddha, who wowed in Jersey, who doesn’t get a chance to perform here. She still manages to make her mark. Gollapudi is a deli.

On the whole, Jodi is a very outdated and ordinary family drama which will end up as yet another disappointment for Aadi. The first half has some brief breezy moments but the second half bores the audience with forced emotions, comedy, and over the top na.
