Harischandra (1956) Harischandra is the tale of a legendary King by name Harischandra who often called as "Satya Harischandra" for for his truthfulness, honesty and integrity. The Gods decide to test Harischandra and have appointed a sage Vishwamitra for the purpose. Vishwamitra tries myriad ways to get Harishchandra to lie or fallback on a promise, but all his efforts went kaput, for he was not tempted to be dogmatic about what he believed and followed.
