sati anasuya (1957)Sati Anasuya (Anjali Devi) is a very devoted wife of Maharshi Atri (Gummadi). Her fame was always chanted by Narada, by which the wives of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar were jealous and had decided to break her Pativrata (being loyal to husband) vrat. When these three were busy in it, Narmada (Jamuna) comes across Sati Anasuya asking her to sent her to heaven as she is not lucky enough to marry a guy. But Anasuya had told her to marry a handicapped guy. Narmada accepted him as her husband but he was cursed by a Sage that he'll die at the first ray of the sun falls on him. To save her husband Narmada had stooped to sun from rising. But when Sati Anasuya requested her, she let go of the sun. Once the wives of Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshwar) sent their husbands to test Anasuya. They appeared as sages and requested Anasuya to feed them with a condition that she has to be nude.
