Harsha(Mahesh Babu) is the son of a multi-millionaire named Ravikanth(Jagapathi Babu). He is quite simple in life and shares different ideologies to his father. One fine day, he meets Charusheela (Shruthi Haasan) and gradually falls in love with her.
Twist in the tale arises when Charusheela rejects Harsha’s proposal and reveals him a shocking truth about his native place and its problems. An upset Harsha, now sets on a personal mission to his village and encounters Sasi(Sampath) and his gang who are troubling the villagers big time.
Rest of the story is as to how Harsha’s personal mission becomes a revolution and helps the villagers grow and prosper in the future.

As usual Mahesh Babu's acting in this movie is superb..Sruthi Hasan has also done great job on giving her best for her role. Srimanthudu movie comes out with new message to the society on adopting villages and also advancing the villages . Jagapathi babu gave his best on Father role.Songs are also good. I would love to watch this movie again . This movie is a complete family entertainer.

Its tough to balance a message oriented movie with expectations from a star cast.. and its tougher to make it a commercial success.. I remember legendary director K Balachander and megastar K Chiranjeevi trying sincerely for it through "Rudraveena" And years later.. Mahesh and Siva tried it in a more commercial format through Srimantudu.
Its a movie with good intention, and less alterations to include/induce comedy/mass/item numbers to play it to front benchers. Hats off to the team in believing in the content of story. I would have personally enjoyed it more if it had lesser action sequences and more logic to conclude the story.
Mahesh, Sruthi, Jagapathi babu and Rajendra Prasad standout in the rich ensemble of starcast. Others did good too, but couldn't create any impact .
Dialogues, lyrics and music add up to the movie experience.
Biggest complaint I have about the movie is the abrupt ending ( may be an editing issue), and age old climax scene picturization. May be that the compromise to make the movie a commercial success, rather than a well appreciated experiment like "1".
Movie is definitely good to inspire me to write this review.
