To protect her friend Farida's love letters, Sulakshana murders Brij (Ranjeet), a playboy. The same night, she marries Farida's brother Sanjeev Kumar, a police detective. Ironically, the murder case gets assigned to the husband, who doggedly pursues the seemingly impossible case, discussing nightly the case developments with his wife, the killer. Could have been an interesting film, had it not been for the excessive morality-pushing.
