Murder 2 is the sequel to the 2004 hit film, Murder. The film is more darker and sensual than its prequel. 

The story is about Arjun Bhagwat (Emraan Hasmi) who is Goan ex-cop, and due to poverty his family got troubled a lot. So, money became a priority and he started doing all the wrong and odd jobs.

Once Arjun meets Sameer who is a ganster, suffering from huge loss as his harlot have been running away. By knowing Arjun as a ex-cop, Sameer immediately assigns him to find those girls.

Priya (Jacqueline Fernandez), plays as a model in the film and in love with Arjun. But Arjun is reluctant to accept the relationship as for him monet matters a lot, which Priya don't understand.

Whilst investigating, Arjun find out that those missing girls are connected to one phone number. So, he plot a plan sending Reshma to that particular customer (Dheeraj Pandey). Reshma is a college going girl who is into profession of prostitution in order to feed her family.

Then the unexpected happens because Dheeraj is a serial killer and is a sex addict and decides to brutally murder women. Through the investigation Arjun gets all information of Dheeraj and they both land up at the police station. Dheeraj being the psychopath admits to the crime that olice gets shocked by his behavior.

Arjun feel guilty about his plan of sending Reshma as bait. He realizes that Reshma's background is similar to his life. He has one night to find some proof in order to keep Dheeraj in jail.

Things don't go as planned and Dheeraj leaves the police station as a free bird as there is no evidence against him. Meanwhile, the next victim on his list turns out to be Priya. Now Arjun path is difficult gather substantial evidence. Will he find Reshma and save Priya or will it be too late?
