Rami (Padmanabham) a shepherd boy becomes Ramanna with the blessings of a sage. The minister and the army commander of the kingdom torture people for taxes. Ramanna informs this to the king and challenges him to rule the kingdom better than the minister. The King offers him the throne for three months to prove his talent. Ramanna wins the people's heart and also Madhuri (Geetanjali), who is the daughter of the King. But the minister and the army ofiicer aren't happy with Ramnna grabbing all the importance.
