di Sangathi is a dark comedy about how greed drives the lives of the common man. Murthy (Abbas) is a crime reporter for a daily who's content with his middle class life. His wife, Swarajyam (Tabu) has dreams of getting rich and living life in affluence. One night when Murthy learns of a train accident, he reaches the scene where he's tempted to steal a suitcase from one of the dead passengers that actually belongs to the Prime Minister. Unknown to Murthy the suitcase contains precious gems worth 500 crores, which Swarajyam finds and decides not to tell him. This is where the story begins to get really interesting with funny twists and turn.
