Surya is a happy go lucky student. He aims to go abroad for higher education. His widowed mother Vasudha raises him to be a well mannered person in spite of his father's untimely death at a very young age.Jagan and Hansika are the children of Sankar Rao and Anjali. Jagan is devoted to his sister Hansika. He believes that Hansika will be happier if she is married to his friend Vishaal. Hansika is a naughty young lady doing her graduate studies at a women's college. Hansika's friend Lirisa is a student at a co-ed college. Lirisa regales Hansika with stories of happenings at her college.

Hansika covers herself in burkha and goes to Lirisa's college. Hansika hits a senior student when he rags her. He, with the help of another student Danny, threatens Hansika. To escape form the situation, she claims that Surya and she are lovers. Surya and Danny are past enemies. Danny leaves hoping to level the score with Surya later. What happens next forms the later part of the story
