Preminchi chudu captures the moods of a group of college students as they meander from friendship through love and eventual heartbreak. Shaam (Shaam), Eeman (Eeman), Priya (Aasin), Pooja (Laila) and Irene (Pooja) form the core of the group that has other people as friends too. All are students of an engineering college where there are a lot of sports and extra curricular activities happening. Of course they are studying, but the movie prefers to stick to the fun activities. As a group they do things together like hanging out, shopping, participating in youth camps etc. That kindles love in the heart of Shaam for Priya, without her knowledge. To complete the triangle Pooja loves Shaam without his knowledge. Outside the triangle Eeman and Irene love each other but unlike the other three they acknowledge the love for each other. The interesting part of the movie is Pooja (Laila) plays the character of an innocent girl who loves Shaam truly. But Shaam takes her as a silly friend who probably is not worthy of love for her braces and stupid behavior. All attention is fixed on Shaam and Aasin. Aasin is strong-minded and calls a spade a spade. The story is kind of interesting with a few twists and turns.
