Urmila (1993) Urmila is a strong willed woman who believes in the rights of women and that men cannot oppress them any longer. She belongs to a middle class family. She meets Chandram, the son of a wealthy industrialist and they fall in love with each other. Chandram gets married to Urmila and they start their married life on a good note. But when Urmila witnesses Chandram's brother and his friends raping their house maid, things turn for the worst. She is the only one who takes the maid's side and even appears as the witness in the court. What happens to Urmila and will she be able to help the maid get justice forms the crux of the story..
