Andhra Pradesh Government has finally gave in to the pressure from big producers, distribution houses & Theatre owners, and passed a Government Order(G.O) to increase the prices of movie tickets with immediate effect. The decision was taken 3-4 months back itself, we reported then about this news, but it was put on hold till now fearing the bad reaction from the audience circles. But Government of Andhra Pradesh has finally decided to go ahead with the decision to hike the prices. According to the G.O, prices are hiked any where between Rs.10 to Rs.20 irrespective of the theatre location, but theatres were classified into five classes for increasing the rates.

Along with the hiking of ticket prices, the Government has also ordered the theatre owners to arrange their own parking facilities without disturbing the general public. The Government has also sent a stern warning to the owners of Multiplexes & theatres against selling the food items for higher rates.
